Welcome to the Lemont Rockers!
The Lemont Rockers was founded in 1994
by Jim “Didi” DiGregorio and Bill
Sokolis. These two men had a vision of
providing young women a place where they
could improve their athletic ability
while at the same time developing
leadership skills, self-confidence, and
giving them the head-start needed to
prepare them for high school, college,
and beyond.
Today, the Lemont Rockers is recognized
as one of the premier softball
organizations in the nation. Our teams
compete locally throughout the
Chicagoland area and nationally against
other travel programs. Our most recent
accomplishment was to be crowned the
2008 ASA “A” National Champions at the
18U level. We have 5 ASA Metro
Championships to our credit, as well as,
over 83 tournament wins.
We currently have 64 Rockers alumni
playing at the collegiate level on full
or partial scholarships, of which 26 are
playing Division I. Among them are:
Suzie Rzegocki (Purdue), Michelle Batts
(Northwestern), Marcy Wilus (DePaul),
Dee Menzione (EIU), Kaitlin Colosimo (SIUE
– 2007 National Champion), Andrea
Colosimo (NIU), and many more. Sandy
Vojik, a Rockers alum, is currently
playing professional softball with the
Rockford Thunder. Over the years, the
Rockers players have received over 3-1/2
million dollars in scholarship money.
Each girl is challenged to be the best
she can be. We hope to give them a
strong base of values, sportsmanship,
and healthy competition to build on. We
are committed to the success of each and
every player in the classroom and on the
field. We provide the quality coaching
and college exposure these girls need to
further their academic careers while
playing a game they are passionate
about.
If you want to play at the next level,
and you have the passion and
determination it takes to be a Rocker,
